Benefits of Direct Primary Care
What is Direct Primary Care? Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a healthcare model that aims to provide a more direct and personalized relationship between patients and their primary care physicians. Rather than healthcare providers billing insurance companies for each service or visit, which can lead to a focus on quantity rather than quality of care, DPC operates on a subscription or membership-based system where patients pay a monthly fee to their primary care physician. This allows providers to carry smaller patient panels and remain focused on their patients, not on administrative duties and costs. Stellar Pediatrics chose to provide a DPC model to allow us to restore a direct connection to our patients and to provide complete and unhurried care.
