  • Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a healthcare model that aims to provide a more direct and personalized relationship between patients and their primary care physicians. Rather than healthcare providers billing insurance companies for each service or visit, which can lead to a focus on quantity rather than quality of care, DPC operates on a subscription or membership-based system where patients pay a monthly fee to their primary care physician.

  • Your membership covers all care provided at Stellar Pediatrics:

    Well Child Visits and preventive evaluations

    Administration of vaccines (Ages 0-18)

    Sick visits

    Urgent visits for minor injuries (within the scope of Primary Care Services)

    Screening physicals for school/sports/camp

    Hearing and vision screenings

    Concussion evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment

    Diagnosis and management of chronic conditions, including but not limited to:

    ADHD/Anxiety/Depression

    Asthma (including in-office nebulizer treatments)

    Migraines

    Autism

    Allergies

    Routine Gynecological Care, including but not limited to:

    Pelvic exams

    Contraceptive care

  • No, Stellar Pediatrics does not bill insurance.

  • Yes, it is still recommended you have health insurance to cover unexpected emergencies, hospital care, specialists visits.

  • Urgent concerns sometimes arise after hours and on weekends. Stellar Pediatrics is available via call or text to address these concerns.

  • At Stellar Pediatrics, we firmly believe in the effectiveness of vaccines to prevent serious illness and to save lives. We recommend and administer vaccines according to the schedule published by the Centers for Disease Control, Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. You will have a chance to discuss every vaccine offered ahead of each visit. Should you have questions about any vaccine, let's discuss your concerns and make a plan to keep your child protected from vaccine-preventable illnesses and in compliance with Maine law for daycare and school entry.

  • Housecalls may be available within a local radius. Dr. Goodwin is also available to attend IEP or 504 meetings in person or virtually when appropriate.

  • There is no limit to the number or type of visits your child can access with their membership at Stellar Pediatrics.

  • Yes! Packages are available for semesters and summers for local students studying away, or students from away studying locally. Contact us to discuss a plan that works for your student. Item description
